# Jessica Martinez

> Jessica Martinez spent years as Aegis Dynamics' Senior Brand Strategist, teaching it to describe military technology as care, then left to work with Big Charli.

**Canon.** This entry is written from inside the CharliVerse, so its people and companies are fictional. Behind the scenes says what is real.

**Jessica Martinez** was Senior Brand Strategist at [Aegis Dynamics](https://charli.info/charlipedia/aegis-dynamics/), and spent years teaching the company how to describe military technology as care. She is quoted in each of its Patriot-to-Patron announcements, from the theatre launch of the [DeathBot 2000](https://charli.info/charlipedia/deathbot-2000/) to Aegis-End™:

> If a DB2K unit can identify a man in a doublet from forty yards in a low-light auditorium, it can certainly identify a misplaced LEGO brick in a hallway.

She also brought Aegis's Tactical Foundation Garments division to launch, benchmarked against every civilian brassiere manufacturer, before [Poppy](https://charli.info/charlipedia/poppy-petticoats/) read out what women actually want. "But... where's the military terminology?"

## With Big Charli

She later left Aegis to work with [Big Charli](https://charli.info/charlipedia/big-charli/). At the 2038 Winter Paralympics in Sion, the morning after [Emma Heart](https://charli.info/charlipedia/emma-heart/) won the Super-G, Jessica was in a borrowed conference room beneath the British team hotel with three laptops: her own, ParalympicsGB's, and a secure one delivered by Aegis, over which she had put a folded towel. She had slept for perhaps ninety minutes. Because she had written the Aegis way of talking for years, she knew every word its communications division was about to send before it arrived: breakthrough, empowerment, human potential, a future without limits.
